Rehema Reach

What Is Rehema Reach?

“Rehema” is Swahili for “Mercy.” Rehema Reach is IAMercy’s outreach program. It is the largest of all of IAMercy’s ministries. Throughout the week, IAMercy staff go around to various schools in the Kawangware slum. They teach the same Bible lessons that IAMercy teaches at The Daily Bread Program on Saturdays. This way many more children in the slum are reached with the Gospel message and the basic stories of the Bible.

Teaching the bible to over 3,600 children weekly

As of 2025, IAMercy’s Rehema Reach team was in 11 schools on a weekly basis. In a given school week, Rehema Reach ministers to over 3,600 children. School administrators and teachers have given testimonies regarding what a positive impact the IAMercy ministry is making on the children in their schools. Through this ministry thousands of children are learning the basic message about Jesus and the stories of the Bible. Some of these children have made public professions of faith in Jesus and been baptized at IAMercy as a result.
